Advisory Board
Bob brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to the team, having built several successful robot ventures and led innovation practices for global corporations.
Prior to joining JouleFit, Bob built Mitsubishi Chemical’s venture capital organization, where he identified and invested in cutting-edge technology startups. As Director of Innovation at Panasonic, Bob established the company’s innovation practice, which focused on identifying new business opportunities and driving growth through emerging technologies.
Bob’s experience in robotics is particularly noteworthy. He is known for launching Anybots, the first telepresence robot, and Jibo, a social robot company. His former robot venture, Pleo, has shipped over 1.5 million robots worldwide, making it the second highest shipment of robots in the world after iRobot’s Roomba.
From early in life I had a passion for sports and human performance. I played football and basketball in high school and even walked on as a kicker in college, spending almost two hours at the gym every day. But at 42, I suffered a debilitating shoulder injury while trying to maximize my bench press, leaving me unable to raise my arms above my shoulders for two years. Desperate to find a better way to maintain my fitness, I turned to “Body by Science” by Dr. Doug McGuff and after just six months, I saw significant improvements. I have an extremely strong belief in this workout routine and convinced it is the key to unlocking peak physical fitness without unnecessary strain.
